What is a Healthy Life Style

What does a healthy life style mean to you? For most of us it means being able to do the things we want to do with little sickness and few, if any, trips to the doctor.  Two elements to succeed at this are having an exercise routine and a normal weight.  If you don't have this, you need to get it.

There is so much more to this than just dieting or exercising.  Following a healthy diet is a challenge for most of us and, like most, we are always looking for the "one thing" that will finally work.  The bad news is there is no "one thing" that will work a miracle.

There are, however, several 'things' one can do that may, in combination, help you with your goal for a healthy life style.  How much water are you drinking each day - a big challenge for most of us.  The minimum you should be drinking is 1/2 gallon, and preferably more.  How do you get that done in a day?  Well - start the first thing in the morning, when you rise and drink 20 oz. of water immediately.  That's a good start.  Try intervals with your exercises - alternate between going slow and going faster for perhaps 30 seconds to a minute each.  How about drinking a glass of water with 2 TBSPs of lemon juice and a dash of Cayenne pepper daily - excellent way to keep your colon in good shape.   For more Baby Boomer tips and information, check out www.babyboomerlifestyle.net
